The summit of East Lomond Hill gives a superb view of the surrounding countryside.
The Lomond Hills may not be the highest of hills but they are a greater training ground to those new to walking and wanting to improve their skills such as map reading.
There are several routes into the hills but this one is one of the most direct and ideal for a summer's evening stroll.
The route starts at the Craigmeade Car Park which is a few minutes drive from the centre of the village of Falkland (the car park is signposted in the village). On the edge of the car park a sign points across the road to the beginning of the track.
Walk along the track through a gate and onwards past the treeline until you pick up the path on to the hill proper. You can follow the path right up to the summit.
Route shared with Walk Fife by Jim Beatty.
